St Thomas’ library, the former Convent Chapel, is a wonderful area for reading and a perfect space for our dynamic Library committee. Many of our whole school events are run through the library. The students who make up the library committee are dedicated to bringing a love of reading to the school and fostering a literary culture in all areas of school life. The committee run regular book clubs for all year groups and facilitate both junior and senior debate clubs. Throughout the year, the students bring fun and energy to the library space by organising short story competitions, World Book week and toastmasters to name a few. Through regular activities and competitions our students have the opportunity to explore a variety of literary avenues and enhance their love of reading. The committee also works closely with the School Librarian who works to maintain an extensive and diverse catalogue of reading material. We are immensely proud of our library, boasting over 9000 resources and housed in a room of great historical and spiritual significance.
